Abstract

Objective: To identify and compare antimicrobial treatment guidelines from African Union (AU) Member States. Methods: We reviewed national government agency and public health ministry guidelines for antimicrobial treatment recommendations. This comprehensive comparative analysis examines national antimicrobial treatment guidelines across African Union member states, providing critical insights into regional variations in treatment recommendations, standardization opportunities, and potential for harmonized approaches to antimicrobial stewardship across the African continent.
